Ancon POS
In 2019, Ancon made the decision to leave our old Windows-based system behind and begin developing the next generation restaurant Post Of Sale software, to be entirely app-based. Instead of requiring a dedicated machine for taking orders and payments, we would develop our entire suite of software to work on off-the-shelf tablets and phones.
I was involved from the beginning, taking elements of our old system with new specifications to create wireframes to prototype parts of the new system, such as the Order Manager pictured below. (This allows restaurants to take manage all incoming orders, whether they were placed by a guest sitting at a table in the restaurant or even online from an app or web site.)
From there, mock-ups and a whole design system were produced in Adobe XD, which the development team then used to produce the finished apps, which are now available in Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
