As head of design for Ancon, I was asked to design the cabinet for an old-school video game system for our head office in Lysekil. We wanted it to capture a bit of that classic arcade feel while also making it personalised by incorporating our staff into the design.
The logo followed a pretty standard 80s inspired arcade motif.
But for the sides of the cabinet, I drew inspiration from GTA for the style of the images and portraits, which I also photographed. Thus “Grand Theft Ancon: Lysekil City” was born.
Building on the logo, I also created a series of Ancon Arcade screensavers that play when not being used for gaming.
