Working closely with the marketing team, I was largely responsible for the content and design of most of the print and online advertising done by the startup foreign exchange technology provider, Fair Trading Technology. As a newcomer to the forex market, we wanted to stand out as different from competitors, who largely stay somewhat conservative and technical, by being a bit bolder and using more plain, direct language. The pouting little girl became a cornerstone of marketing materials for almost two years, with presence on everything from magazine ads to landing pages to trade show booths.
